God's General Revelation

In what is sometimes called God's "general revelation", man has all the signposts he needs to see there is a God, that he is all powerful, and that he should be sought with all urgency. The typical response of man is a hard-hearted independence, a rebellion which refuses to see this evidence for what it is. God's elect, however, see these clues as wholly of God and praise him accordingly. What is more, he gives his elect a greater, or "special", revelation in which they have revealed to them Christ and his great salvation, and they are granted repentance and faith.
