Loving the Praise of Men?

How much does the praise of men affect our decisions and the choices we make? Do the opinions of other people become a tyranny to us, holding us back, or making life difficult within the group that we are a part of?

Stakes can be very high when we have to make a stand as a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. To follow Him can be the biggest decision of our lives, but when others do not agree the affects are significant. We may have to accept losing whatever popularity we have, so we have to consider what is more important, the praise of men, or the praise of God?
