When the Lord comes

The weary and lonely Malachi speaks on behalf of a God wearied by the spiritual antagonism and pessimism of Israel.

He confronts the people, challenging them with regard to their low and flawed views of the righteous God.

He comes to the people, promising the Messenger of the Covenant to secure a holy people.

He condemns the people, reminding them that he will indeed come in justice to deal with wickedness.
