Christ's Ascension: The Coronation of the King

The Ascension of Christ is one of the least appreciated events of Christ's ministry. But it is the coronation of Christ as King, the inauguration of Christ's Kingship. Christ's Ascension marked the acceptance of His earthly ministry and established the authority of His heavenly ministry. Rightly understood, it should produce worship, joy, praise, and service from His people--just as it did for the disciples who observed it.
