Moses' Emmanuel and Ours

The next 3 chapters in Exodus provide a pattern for the construction of the Tabernacle and its furnishings. You might think it could be a boring section as it deals with woods, metals, fabrics and furniture. The key to understanding this passage is the promise that God will be among his people, he is Emmanuel, God with us! The Tabernacle and each piece of furniture within it is designed to show us something about God with us! Moses' Emmanuel and ours is the same: Jesus Christ our Lord!
