God's everlasting Heaven Pt 4 [Meeting the King]

To the sheep who are on His right hand that He will speak these words. They will hear these words of invitation. They will be inherit the kingdom. They will take possession of the glories of this kingdom.

Thus far we have considered:
[1] The saints shall be invested with kingly power and authority. We will rule over:
i. our own spirits,
ii. over Satan and
iii. over the nations.
[2] The saints shall be invested with the ensigns of royalty.
i. We shall sit with Christ on His throne,
ii. We shall wear a crown.
iii. We shall hold a sceptre and a sword.
iv. We shall wear royal robes.
[3] The saints will be invested with the place of royal abode.
i. A mansion is prepared.
ii. A royal city awaits to be inhabited.
iii. The new heavens and the new earth will be created.

We are coming this evening to dwell upon another aspect of the glory of heaven, namely the blest company of heaven. Fanny Crosby:
Oh, the dear ones in glory, how they beckon me to come
And our parting at the river I recall
To the sweet vales of Eden they will sing my welcome home
But I long to meet my Saviour first of all.
