Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth - 2 Timothy 2 14-15

Some think that Paul was about 60 years old now, in Philemon he refers to himself as 'Paul, the Aged', when Stephen was martyred he had been a young man, and between these times lay an adult lifetime of service. Stewards of the mystery of God are required to be found faithful. In one sense we are all stewards and have been given gifts and talents to be used for God's service. A day of judgement is coming and then man's assessments will be incinerated as they are not in accordance with God. Christians are criticised these days, and Paul was in his day. The message of salvation by faith alone in Christ alone was not liked.
Here he instucts Timothy in how to live and be a faithful minister, and the words are mainly for ministers but we all can learn form them.
