A Tonic For Troublous Times
Series The Miracles in Mark
826
The words of Mark 6:48, 'And HE SAW THEM toiling in rowing ...' bulge with comfort for the weary saint.
Our Lord's disciples - exhausted in both body and mind after a night of strenuous, but ultimately fruitless, activity - felt alone on a dark and dangerous sea. Yet, as this passage of scripture reveals, they were not alone: their Lord was near, and He fully recognised their plight. Jesus, of course, was much more than an interested spectator. His actions (traced in this message) thrilled the disciple's hearts and transformed their lives.
Does today find us "toiling in rowing"? Are we weary? This text is undoubtedly a tonic for every troubled heart.
