What's the Big Deal about the (Second Giving of the) Law?

In Deuteronomy 10 we find recorded the Giving of the Second Tablets of the Ten Commandments. That they were given the first time is amazing, that they were given a second time is beyond amazing... all of grace.

Anchored in the very giving and re-giving of the Law is the realization that God's continued covenant with his people was all by grace.
