Despised Birthright

This narrative presents us with very distinguishable traits to the twins born to Rebekah. Esau was skilled in hunting, the favorite of his father and one who despised he birthright. Jacob was described as mild (blameless or complete), but not necessarily a "momma's boy" as many commentators and pastors are quick to paint him. In a very odd exchange, neither acts in a Godly manner yet it is Esau and not Jacob who is condemned.
