Aiming in the Right Direction - Pt 1 - Doing Alms

Our depraved natures stay with us even when we engage in religious exercises. On account of our depravity we discover that even when we would do good deeds, or pray, or fast, the temptation we face is to do these things in order to be seen of men. As we enter into Mt. 6 in our studies of the Sermon on the Mount we discover that Christ places a strong emphasis on aiming in the right direction with regard to our spiritual exercises. In this study we look at the first of these spiritual exercises - doing alms.
