Intellectual Assent?

There are people who arrive at an intellectual understand the basics of salvation. Because of this, they know what to do and this they do, outwardly. They appear to be someone who has made a decision for Christ because they do what externally shows that they are in fact Christians. We do not know if this is the actual case though and we can certainly not rely on it. We must entrust this area to the Lord. Indeed, it would appear from Scripture that we must take the time to ensure by our own examination, that we have a right relationship with God in Christ.
