Why These Tears, GFC?

As GFC sends a pastor and members away to plant a new church, we stop to ask why we cry.

1. Weeping is appropriate at the death of someone loved

2. Weeping is appropriate at sad providences

3. Weeping happens in our experience of the chastisements from God for our sins

4. Weeping is the appropriate response to our sins when they are discovered

5. Weeping will gain the attention of our God

6. Weeping is a regular part of the Christian's life now

7. Weeping only increases the more we serve and love one another

8. Weeping like this is never wasted for it wins the heart of God

9. Weeping will end forever in the Last Great Day

10. Weeping is right today.

So weep… and go.
