This chapter sheds much light upon how sin is to be dealt with in the church. We learn valuable lessons here concerning church discipline, personal holiness, sin and grace, and the watchfulness the Christian must exercise in order to prevent the outbreaking of sin in heart and life.

  10. The dreadful condition of men without Christ, v45,46.
