The Gentiles: Guilty Before God

If Paul attempted to become clever in his presentation, if he attempted to become impressive in the communicating of the message, he would have removed the power and effectiveness of the truth that God had given him to proclaim. We have to proclaim the good news without any adjustments. For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing, foolishness. We get the English word “moron” from that Greek word foolishness. We just carry it over into English. It's foolishness. It is stupidity. It makes no sense at all to wise, intelligent, fallen, sinful human beings. But to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.
