Joy Unleashed: Committed to Community

Perhaps you’ve heard this one: “To dwell above with the saints we love, O that will be glory! But to dwell below with the saints we know…. well, that’s a different story!”
We laugh at little ditties like that, because they contain a hint of truth: Christian community takes effort, and it’s not always easy. In the Apostle Paul’s closing words to the Philippians, we get a glimpse at the early church’s commitment to Christ-centered fellowship, and the key to its effectiveness: “The grace of our Lord Jesus
Christ be with your spirit. Amen.” Philippians 4:23 (NASB)
