How God Plants a Church

Sermon: Acts 16:6-40

Introduction: How does God plant a (great) church?

I. God uses people – the right kind.
A. Those who combine strategic planning
with sensitivity to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

B. Those who have a love for the lost.

C. Those who are obedient.

II. The Holy Spirit is active in transforming lives.
3 examples -- note 2 things
A. Each one is very different from the others.

B. Each one shows a changed life.

III. We should expect opposition (God allows it to happen).
A. We should imitate their attitude.

B. God is in control of all that happens.
