Scripture for a Nation in Crisis

America is a nation in crisis. Sadly, it's marked by the following:

Division
Lawlessness
Record murder rates
Family breakups
Skyrocketing drug use
Escalating deaths by overdose
Suicide
The killing of the unborn
Sexual perversion
Lies, deception, tyranny

...and the list goes on.

At the same time we're seeing churches, that should be proclaiming biblical truth, weakening as they compromise doctrine and abandon the Gospel for the sake of entertainment and/or being inclusive.

All of this amounts to a nation that's in great spiritual need.

Jim indicated that he received a letter from a listener who shared a portion of Scripture from Jeremiah 18 and it frames this program very well. It shows us that Israel of old would not listen to Jeremiah, repent of their sins and turn to God. It appears that America is acting in the same fashion.

It's from this perspective that Jim opened the phone lines to have listeners contemplate the year that's passed and the year that's before us and then present the verse of Scripture that they believe America needs today.
