What we should do when we face suffering

When we Christians face suffering, we should pray. This does a number of things:

• we acknowledge our limitations;
  -we acknowledge we come before a limitless God;
• it enables surrender to God's purposes;
• it prompts an answer from God;
• it promotes healing or may remove the hurt; and,
• grace can be given to help to bear the affliction.
