Primitive Baptist Manifesto (Part 01)

331

Doctrinal error is nothing if not convenient. There is a house of worship that claims the name of Christ on virtually every corner in most towns in America. By and large they all preach a variation on the false gospel of "accept Jesus" as a doorway to eternal life.

What sets Primitive Baptist's apart from the crowd in Christendom? Ephesians, the Primitive Baptist Manifesto, does an excellent job of underscoring the key distinctives we believe and our differences with the broader Christian world. We believe and preach the unadulterated truth of the absolute sovereignty of God in salvation. Stated another way, we believe that the "acceptance" that determines man's salvation is that God's chosen people are "accepted in the beloved." It is the acceptance of God's people by God on the basis of what Christ has accomplished on their behalf.
