Becoming a Person of One Thing - A New Year's Resolution

Martha is mad at Mary again. Why? Because Mary is not abandoning the one important thing in order to help Martha do a thousand unimportant things. Martha was a distracted person, worried and bothered about so many things. Are you? Have you learned the freedom of simplicity and the freedom of Jesus' declaration that only one thing is necessary? If you want this year to be different, if you want to be more like Mary than Martha, what will you do about it? You will need grace. Apart from Him you can do nothing. But if you do not plan to change some things, then you already have a plan to fail and to maintain the status quo.
