WHY Jesus Came - Part 2

HE CAME TO SAVE SINNERS. This is the heart of the Gospel. Do you know the Gospel? Do you know God, do you know the Saviour? Then you must know yourself.

There are FIVE DISEASES in the Word of God that describe the sinner's condition:

1. LEPROSY. Terrible to look upon, corrupt sores and stinking.
2. CANCER. A living death, bringing on fear and restlessness.
3. PALSY. Shaking and cannot be still.
4. EPILEPSY. A fearful condition, never knowing when it will hit; he may fall into the fire or the creek.
5. CONSUMPTION. This is now called TB. Spitting up blood, losing his lungs. That is your condition, if only you could see it and feel it!

These are incurable diseases and to have one or more of them is to walk in a living death. The sinner, you see, is dead spiritually, and rotten naturally. He needs something far more than a "decision" or a mere natural, logical "belief in Jesus." HE MUST BE QUICKENED. Repentance and Faith are necessary, but remember these are the acts of a RENEWED SINNER, not of the natural man. Also please remember, poor sick sinner, JESUS IS THE GREAT PHYSICIAN! Take your case to HIM!
