Thesis: A resolution that is centered around a mission, a message and a purpose.
1.Paul's single mission: AN APOSTLE 24-25
a) Paul admitted to his present sufferings as he labored in the ministry.
b) Paul also affirmed his divinely appointed commission as an apostle.
2.The mission single message: the proclamation of God's Word. 26-27
a) The subject: The message of the church is the word of God.
b) The marrow: a “musterion”, a redemptive truth---God's Divine Revelation in the Gospel.
c) The contents: not a set of propositions but a person: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
3.The message single purpose (Paul's Vision) We proclaim Christ. 28-29
a) The method: Proclaiming God's word to never-dying souls, Instruction & Admonition - In true wisdom.
b) The goal: to make disciples, ones molded into the image of our Savior.
c) The disposition: laboring hard and yet striving in grace.

- The place of the church in Paul's heart, emulating Jesus' heart.
- Discipleship implies instruction and admonition, but if it is not done with Jesus in view it becomes moralistic information.
