"Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions."

I. The Only Explanation (7:29a - "Lo, this only have I found.")

II. The Original Exaltation (7:29b - "God hath made man upright.")
A. God is our Creator.
B. The upright God created man in His own upright image.

III. The Obvious Degradation (7:29c - "But they have sought out many inventions.")
A. "They" is we.
B. We have a bad record and a bad heart.
C. We invent many alternative "schemes" (ESV).
