The preparation of Abraham's son parallels the propitiation of God the Son. Abraham had a faith that worked. Just as Abraham marched toward Moriah with Isaac alongside him, even so God the Father walked out of the mists of eternity to Calvary with His Son alongside of Him. The major difference is that God the Son was sacrificed for our sin.
