Our Anchor Of Hope

1. The soundness of the anchor v19.
   The nature of the believer's hope - God the author of the believer's hope, it is indestructible and able to carry through all trial and opposition and enables perseverence in a godly course.

2. The anchor is soundly cast v19,20a.
   Our anchor is to be fixed on God's Word, it is to penetrate within the veil and to bring us into the very presence of God - our hope to rest on our representative within the veil, our forerunner who has prepared the way for us - this is that hope which purifies.

3. Christ the high priest of whom much must be said v20b.
   The apostle re-joins his former declaration (chp 5:10,11) and concludes his digression which was to serve as a wake-up call to attend to the further unfolding of the truth of Christ.
