Dismissal and Declaration

This message was given by Pastor Jonathan Stobbs as he continued his morning ministry in the Gospel of John.
As Pastor Stobbs continues in this opening chapter, we continue to see Jesus declared as the Son of God, and the Lord of glory, and then we continue to see how He directly intervenes by His grace in the lives of people so that they are changed forever. That working continues to this day, and even now, there are men and women, around the world who are being drawn into a right relationship with Jesus Christ. So it is with Nathanael, who turns to Jesus Christ and acknowledges Him as Lord and Saviour. Pastor Stobbs speaks of Philip's loving desire for Nathanael to have a real encounter with Jesus Christ, is that our desire for those around us? He also speaks of Nathanael's lazy dismissal, and how Philip invites Nathanael to come and see for himself. Then Pastor Stobbs speaks of a life-changing declaration, when Nathanael is brought before the Saviour, and as the Lord deals with him, he acknowledges Jesus as the Messiah the Anointed One. That same Jesus is changing lives today, and it is wonderful.
