What does it mean to follow Jesus? It means first and foremost that we are not ashamed of him. The true disciple of Jesus proves not to be ashamed of Jesus by being like him in thought, word, and in deed. By displaying the character of Christ to the world, the disciple enjoys the grand privilege of sharing in Christ's impact upon the world by making Christ visible in his/her conduct as well as doctrine.
