Israel's Consolation Has Come

Here we continue our verse by verse study of the Gospel of Luke, and in this sermon we continue our look at the presentation of the baby Jesus at the Temple. This time we meet a man by the name of Simeon who righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon Him. In these three traits we see a picture of the Believer today, in that we should not only be righteous, but following after the Lord as a faithful disciple. We should be looking for our deliverance from this world, and we should be walking in the Spirit that indwells us.
