Beautiful Obedience of Christ

"This is officially the best sermon Josh has ever preached!" This is what the person sitting behind me said as Josh stepped away from the pulpit.
A man in Russia claims to be the re-incarnation of Jesus Christ. He only appears to his 5000 followers once per year. Yet when he appears, it is on the top of a mountain in the distance. He speaks to them for approximately half an hour, and then disappears again for another year. Remarkably, the only people who are likely to believe such a person's claim to perfection are people who don't really know that person. Yet with Jesus it was different. It was those who were closest to Him, and who knew Him the best, who insisted on His perfection.
If it were possible, we could expose every thought in the mind of Jesus to public scrutiny. Astoundingly, we would not find even one single wrong or off-colour thought! How beautiful and wonderful! To put this in perspective, we could consider our own thoughts. Suppose our every secret thought was exposed before everyone's eyes. How ashamed would we be! Stand amazed at the glory of Christ; who lived that staggering life of beauty in the place of the life of rebellion clothing and saturating every sinner.
