The Beatles - How They Led a Cultural Revolution

600

How did the American culture go from bobby sox in 1959 to group sex in 1969? We had to go through the 1960's, and the high priests that led us all the way through that decade were the Beatles. No single group or institution was more influential on the way we thought and acted than the Beatles. In fact no band in history has come close to the Beatles popularity. Even forty years after the phenomenon in 2000, their album "1" sold more copies faster than any album in history.

In this segment of Generations, Kevin Swanson analyzes the idiom of the 1960's, the philosophy carried by the idiom, and the minds of men that carefully guided us from "I Want to Hold Your Hand" to "Let's Do it in the Road."

To understand the age you live in, you better understand the idiom of Rock and Roll, and the men who led the way.
