Nebuchadnezzar was proud of the city of Babylon, and of his role in making it great. God dramatically humbled him, and he lived as a beast of the field, until he learned that "the most high rules in the kingdom of men..." We can take pride in our intellect, our appearance, our wealth, our gifts, even our spirituality. God forbid that we should glory, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.
