Eli's Failure as a Father

This lesson by Bro. Jade begins a two-part lesson series about Eli's failure to handle his two sons biblically. We first see the wickedness of Hophni and Phinehas, Eli's two sons, and Eli's reproof of them. Then we see that the Lord provided Eli warnings from an unnamed prophet and Samuel of His coming judgment due to his preference of his two sons over the will of God. Then, we see that, although we don't know too well how Eli raised his two sons, we see a dangerous example of someone who neglects the will of God regarding the punishment of his children, and who enables them to commit open wickedness in positions of authority.
