Romans 8:28-32

The Golden Chain of salvation! God foreknows, elects, calls, justifies and glorifies His people. What wondrous doctrine and glorious truth to take onboard at the beginning of the year. We should not think that there is anything in us that would cause God to choose us.

Unconditional election is critically important to understand and believe. We must realize that we are empty vessels otherwise the love of God will be stunted in our lives. How can we truly love God and our neighbor if we are not loving them with God's love? And how can we love with God's love if we aren't empty of fleshly self-love?
