The thing about appointments

At this time of year most people are making plans and setting up appointments for places to be and certain times to be there to meet with friends and family. It is the holiday season or as we like to call it, Christmas time. How much thought though do we honestly put into those commitments we make? Are we really wanted there or expected to show up or is it just an assumption on our part? The word "appointment" means a stipulation; it is the act of establishing by mutual agreement a specific direction or course of action to be taken.
