Looking for Something

Is there anything you must do or place you must visit or person you must meet for your life to be complete before you die? Are you missing a piece of life you feel is needed so you feel fulfilled and satisfied. There were two godly, Old Testament saints who were looking to welcome the Savior, and God revealed to one of them, Simeon, that he would not die until he had seen the Lord's Christ. They were looking for the consolation of Israel, the redemption in Jerusalem. And when Simeon held the baby Jesus in his arms and looked into His face, he saw salvation! He found the comfort, the peace for which he longed. His life was now complete and he was ready to die! Simeon perceived the big picture of the triumph and tragedy of the Messiah-- that He would be a revelation to the Gentiles and the glory of Israel. But that He would divide the nation and by opposed by many, causing sorrow for Mary . And Anna proclaimed the message of redemption and peace to those who too were looking and longing for that which would complete them. Only Jesus! Only He brings redemption full and free! There's a yearning in all our hearts, that only Jesus can satisfy!
