1 Thessalonians 5 PT 31 - Grace be With You

136

This is a study of Paul's first epistle, the epistle to the Church at Thessalonica. This is the first epistle that Paul ever wrote. Thessalonica was a Roman Colony city, right in the heart of the Roman empire, with a rich, long and varied history. This passage deals with the day of the Lord, when after millenniums of His great patience and compassion displayed, He will pour out His wrath on the Christ hating and unrepentant evil ones on this earth. The day of wrath will not include the body of Christ, because we are not of the night but of the day and all by His grace, Sons of light. He has not destined His bride to be, for the wrath that He will pour out on the Christ rejecting world. Because He died for us, we can be sure that He will remove His own body from the Christ rejecting earth, before He pours out His just and righteous wrath. In this study we look at the marvelous truth of the grace of God that is ours in Christ Jesus. Because of Jesus Christ alone, we are now under the forever provision of the grace of God for every aspect of our lives. This grace is what we are to rely on as we run the race that is set before us during our remaining time here as ambassadors for Christ.
