Christ's Exalted Position

Why is added in the Apostles Creed that Christ sits at God's right hand in glory? We have the hint to the meaining to this in the Lord's Day when it says 'By whom God governs all things'. Christ ascended to glory is a matter of government in the God carries out His council through Christ. All power, glory, and majesty has been given to our Lord Jesus Christ. Christ reigns His graces to us through His Holy Spirit. The focus of this sermon is that God gives to Christ the reigns of history and sits at His right hand for the sake of the church. Our life is firmly in the hand of God. We take comfort that Christ has power to deal with all of history and no less our individual life. How wonderful!
