Future: Proper Focus

As we have seen in Philippians, Paul's singular goal was to press on toward Christlikeness, preparing for the return of Christ. This prize completely guided his every attitude and action, especially in regards to the future. Paul commanded his readers to imitate his example and to carefully watch out for others who claim to be patterns worth following. Many of them are actually enemies of the cross and will lead believers away from God's will. As citizens of heaven they needed to only focus on the Saviour, who would finish His work in them when He returns, transforming their humble bodies.
