Good Fruit on the Vine

As "branches," all believers enjoy a permanent, abiding union with the Vine (Christ) and thus bear fruit to one extent or another. But to achieve maximum fruitfulness, the believer must make practical application of the great truth of his abiding union with the Savior. The truths of salvation must be applied to sanctification: our position must be applied to our walk. In the broader context of the Parable of the Vine and the Branches (John 13-17), Jesus prepares His disciples for a life of maximum fruitfulness by teaching two keys to productivity in the Christian life. This message focuses upon the first of these two keys.
