The Wickedness of Envy

Under a new king and empire on the world scene, Daniel is promoted to great honor. However, he is quickly the object of envy and hatred. He is envied not only because of his preferment over other leaders, but because of his excellenct spirit and godly manner. Our Lord was hated because of his righteous character. True believers will follow in his footsteps, but may be greatly comforted by knowing that God loves them.
