Full of Courage

True manliness means courage. Such courage is not a wreckless disregard of danger or potential consequences of an endeavor. It is the fortitude of soul to face and defy one's fears in the exercise of a righteous role or duty. It is the willingness to do what is right even when it is costly and unpopular. Stephen was a man full of courage. His ministry in the synagogue, his continued speaking amidst malicious opposition, his composure before his accusers, the nature of his defense and manner of his death all demonstrate the soul and ways of a man of courage.
