"A clear and certain perception of that which exists" is one of the definitions of knowledge from Noah Webster's 1828 dictionary. This is like a child who knows who their parents are and can describe much of what they do, but they have no idea about why they wanted children. As God's children we all know who God is and could say much about Him but just like children we know very little about God's reasons for creating them. In fact, many times we question Him and even disagree with Him just like children do with their parents.
