1 Thessalonians 5 PT 25 - He Will Bring it to Pass

134

This is a study of Paul's first epistle, the epistle to the Church at Thessalonica. This is the first epistle that Paul ever wrote. Thessalonica was a Roman Colony city, right in the heart of the Roman empire, with a rich, long and varied history. This passage deals with the day of the Lord, when after millenniums of His great patience and compassion displayed, He will pour out His wrath on the Christ hating and unrepentant evil ones on this earth. The day of wrath will not include the body of Christ, because we are not of the night but of the day and all by His grace, Sons of light. He has not destined His bride to be, for the wrath that He will pour out on the Christ rejecting world. Because He died for us, we can be sure that He will remove His own body from the Christ rejecting earth, before He pours out His just and righteous wrath. In this study we look at how our great God has reconciled us to Himself bringing us into an eternal peace relationship with Himself. Our new life in Him is one of sanctification or being set apart for Him, and effects our spirits, souls, and bodies as we live for Him here on earth. We are to be obedient to all He tells us in His Word, but we rest not in out own work and effort but entirely in His promise, power and grace to bring us safely into His presence.
