A. Why 12 Apostles and What about Peter?

 1. Peter (2 Cor. 11:5)

John Chrysostom (349-407AD) “…observe how Peter does everything with the common consent; nothing imperiously.”

 2. Twelve (cf. Acts 3:24-26)

“You are those who have stayed with Me in My trials, and I assign to you, as My Father assigned to Me, a kingdom, that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” (Lk. 22:28-30)
