Discipleship and Baptism

While the church battles over the mode of baptism (sprinkling, pouring or immersion), the significance of baptism for discipleship is often overlooked. Baptism is a sign and seal of the covenant, identifying the baptized with the triune God, picturing the transforming work of the Spirit and indicating that he or she is now under the Sovereign domain of the Savior.
