Living a Full Life - Message 2 - Full Holiness. John applies a "Moral Test" to validate assurance of salvation for his readers. He demoinstrates the truth that one who has repented and believed in Christ will live a life of obedience to the Word of God. Obedience does not mean without sin and John teaches us that God is light, God forgives sin, and that we have an Advocate with the Father, the Lord Jesus, who is Righteous and has made Himself a propitiation for our sin. Some claim to love Jesus but are proven liars by their disobedience. Others do indeed love Him and prove it by abiding in Him and His Word, striving to live a life full of holiness.
