Gospel Living

Aim: To apply gospel principles to our daily lives of faith in Christ.

Exegesis: Following Jesus means that we will love people by protecting their lives (v. 17), by guarding their chastity (v. 18), by respecting their possessions (v. 19), by preserving their reputations (v. 20), and by honoring their blessings (v. 21). Following Jesus means that we will listen to God. The Lord's word to us is final (v. 22a) and personal (v. 22b).

Key verse: v. 22 ''These words the LORD spoke to all your assembly, in the mountain from the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and He added no more. And He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.''
