Practical Sanctification

You can look at sanctification from two dimensions. Positionally, and Practically. In my position in Christ, I am perfect and complete and holy in every way. God sees me in Christ. I have been perfectly cleansed, perfectly purified. I am without blame. There can be nothing in time or eternity done to improve that position. It is perfect already. Practical Sanctification is outworking of our daily walk. Even though I am positionally perfect in Christ, I am not perfect in all my ways and all my conduct, as I live my daily life. The two, of course, go hand in hand. We can't continue in sin because of God's work of justification. The salvation that He has accomplished for us includes a walk in newness of life. And, there is no such thing as a position that is not being worked out in a practice.
