Our Melchizedekian Priest

I would remind you that previously the one who wrote Hebrews had started to speak about Christ being a priest after the order of Melchizedek. He paused because he was concerned that those who read this letter might not be able to receive the rich truths that he was getting ready to set before them. He sought to prepare us, warning us against having lazy ears due to indifference, and calling us to expend the effort required if we are to learn of the glories of Christ. This passage teaches us of the glory of Christ as a priest after the order of Melchizedek.
